WYSA High School League
The WYSA High School Girls League has a record number of 22 teams this season! This year WYSA will continue with the tiering format as teams will be participating in either the Premiership or Championship divisions.
The Premiership division has 10 teams. Every team will play a total of 9 matches which will comprise of a single round-robin for the League title. The Championship division has 12 teams with every team playing a 11-match single round-robin for the League title.
After the round-robin, depending on the placement of teams and their records, the WYSA office will determine which teams will be promoted to the Premiership division and which teams will be relegated to the Championship division. After the promotion and relegation stage of the season, all teams will advance to the playoffs in their respective divisions.
WYSA High School Playoffs
The WYSA High School Girls League playoffs will commence in January with the divisional finals being held on March 7, 2024.
The Premiership division will have 10 teams that are split into 2 groups. The promoted teams will assume the position of the relegated teams for placement. Group A (teams that are placed 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12). Group B (teams that are placed 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11). Each team will play a single round robin for a total of 5 playoff matches. After the round robin, the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the semifinals and subsequent finals. The first place team in Group A will play the second place team in Group B and vise-versa.
The Championship division will have 12 teams that are split into 2 groups. The relegated teams will assume the position of the promoted teams for placement. Group A (teams that are placed 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12). Group B (teams that are placed 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11). Each team will play a single round robin for a total of 5 playoff matches. After the round robin, the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the semifinals and subsequent finals. The first place team in Group A will play the second place team in Group B and vise-versa.
